Position Overview
We are currently seeking a Lead Medical Physicist for our Radiation Oncology department located at Evanston Hospital in Evanston, IL. This is a full-time position and is benefits eligible. Hours will be scheduled on the Day shift. Must be flexible to float to Highland Park and Glenbrook hospitals.

Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Director of Radiology, the Chairman of Radiation Oncology, and the cancer care physicians, the Lead Medical Physicist will be responsible for supervising all aspects of clinical physics, including ensuring compliance of all applicable policies and practices and for improving the quality of patient-related services at all NorthShore locations.
- Develop, formulate, and document techniques and procedures for the safe and effective treatment of all patient types
- Oversee the clinical physics activities and supervise hospital physicists, dosimetrists, and others assigned to this group
Qualifications
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Master's or PhD (preferred) in Medial Physics or equivalent
- Board certification from the American Board of Radiology, American Board of Medical Physics, or equivalent
- Minimum of seven years of clinical experience post certification
- Experience in SRS SBRT treatment planning preferred
- Demonstrated excellence in clinical physics, leadership, initiative, problem solving and consensus building
- Experience with acceptance testing, commissioning, IMRT, IFRT, HDR, and SRS preferred
