El Coyote New Mexican Bar & Cantina (open now!) is a bar driven nod to Northern New Mexico in both cuisine and atmosphere. El Coyote is excited to be a part of the growing Britton District and looking for a strong team member to add to this exciting new concept!
Position: Line Cook
Hours: Open for lunch & dinner daily
Pay: $15-18/hr depending on experience
Benefits: paid federal holiday closures and dental/health insurance available to all full time employees
Responsibilities
- Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
- Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
- Cook menu items in coordination with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Clean up station and take care of leftover food
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Skills
- Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
- Familiar with industry’s best practices
