Live and Work in Community Job at Camphill Village Minnesota

Camphill Village Minnesota Sauk Centre, MN 56378

Would you like to live in an intentional community, where life is safe and easy and people are always happy to see you?

By becoming a volunteer at Camphill Village Minnesota, you can gain skills such as biodynamic and organic gardening, farming, artisan baking and crafting, woodworking and basic homesteading skills. Volunteers join our community from all around the world, committing to at least six months with the option to extend their time or stay open-endedly.

In our community, volunteers live in family-style homes with adults who have a range of abilities and disabilities and everyone contributes in a way that is meaningful to them.

Volunteers contribute their time and skills to sustain the community, and in return, they are supported by the community. Our daily activities provide meaningful work for all members twice daily (9am-11:30AM and 2pm-4:30pm) with lunch and a rest hour in between.

Who we are:

Camphill is located on a 500-acre biodynamic farm ten miles north of Sauk Centre in Central Minnesota. People live together family-style in seven large homes. Everyone shares in the responsibilities of life in the community.

The Village has a strong agricultural component made up of farming and gardening. Craft work includes weaving, woodworking, and the arts as well as a licensed processing kitchen and bakery that provide for the needs of the Village and goods that are sold in the surrounding area.

Life in the Village revolves around the cycles of nature, with festivals marking the changing seasons. Plays, concerts, lectures and continuing education add depth and color to the fabric of the community.

Camphill Village Minnesota is part of a worldwide movement that began in Scotland by Dr. Karl König just before World War II. The work of Camphill is based on the teachings of Rudolf Steiner, the Austrian scientist, philosopher and educator who also inspired Waldorf education.
