JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Logistics Team Member

Position Summary

Logistics team members function as part of a logistics team and play a part in optimizing shipping, storage, and distribution operations. A team member works with a team who is responsible for advanced supply chain logistics and expected to know about many functional areas and resources related to global logistics. Conduct themselves in a manner that is compliant with achieving the company’s goals via the company’s Values and Handbook.

Essential Functions

Corporate:

  • Adheres to the Car Tech LLC policies and procedures
  • Learns, demonstrates, and upholds Car Tech Values
  • Complies with all Car Tech Certification standards; Management System (IATF16949), Environmental ISO 14001 and Health and Safety ISO 45001 policies and procedures
  • Treats all Car Tech team members with respect and professional courtesy
  • Always strives to maintain a positive work environment
  • Performs additional assignments / duties as required by management

EHS:

  • Adheres and comply to all safety policies and procedures
  • 5S, clean philosophy to maintain a safe, clean working environment
  • Consistently meets company safety goals

Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):

· Scan, check, and labeling all containers per every load

· Matching Finish Good label with parts in container

· Repacking (lifting parts, weighing containers, counting parts)

· Clean and organize area when needed

· Supporting QC with 122 inspections during downtime

· Help with inventory counting (finish goods, WIP, coils, containers)

· Records every container per shipment

· Remove labels from the floor (if needed)

· Remove old shipping labels from returned dunnage

Skills and Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal communication, and the ability to convey important information clearly
  • Understands inventory control and JIT (Just in Time) and JIS (Just in sequence) concepts
  • Ability to interpret customer demands and meet 100% on time delivery every day
  • Understands importance of always maintaining quality standards throughout process
  • Demonstrates ability to work with I.T. systems to meet job requirements
  • Works safely and efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing job demands and customer shipments
  • Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently within tight work areas
  • Accurately follows and performs Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
  • Exhibits clear competency when performing the roles and responsibilities in specific job duty
  • Works well with others and promote a positive team-orientated work environment
  • Displays knowledge and skills necessary to work with and troubleshoot equipment in assigned area
  • Demonstrates an active understanding of processes, procedures, standards in assigned area
  • Performs any variety of operations within the group to maintain flow of work
  • Able to train others in this position if needed
  • Cross train in other areas in this department
  • Follow supervisor directions carefully.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Physical demands at times may include safely handling multiple, continuous parts flow in and out of manufacturing operations work areas which requires pushing and pulling of carts. Work environment is climate controlled in most areas.
