LOGISTICS / WAREHOUSE COORDINATOR

We are a leading designer, manufacturer and distributor of high quality, value-priced outerwear specializing in snow apparel for men, women, and kids. Our product is sold everywhere from small, local specialty retailers and athletic goods stores to department store chains and online retailers.

We are looking for a smart, energetic, detail-oriented, and self-motivated professional to join our team. Candidate should be well versed in production.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with international suppliers regarding logistic timelines to ensure on-time departure
  • Work with Customs Broker to ensure product classification, duty, and tariff details are correct
  • Review Customs Broker 7501 are correct
  • Guide shipper to book with the approved provider
  • Proactively monitor container arrivals and coordinate with broker, trucker and warehouse
  • Mitigate unnecessary expenses such as demurrage, detention, and chassis fees
  • Generate reports tracking all data for incoming freight
  • Accurately maintain logistics data within the company ERP system
  • Verify Broker sends Delivery Order (DO) to trucker in advance of container ETA.
  • Alert trucker and warehouse of priority containers to be delivered to the warehouse
  • Verify Containers have been delivered to the warehouse
  • Review warehouse daily shipment activities, resolving issues to ensure pickup and delivery is on time
  • Communicate all issues internally with management
  • This is an end-to-end responsibility where candidate will be responsible from the time the supplier’s request to ship up until getting the orders out of our 3PL warehouse.

JOB REQIREMENTS

  • Locust Valley, NY office / Option for Hybrid
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 3 years related experience in consumer goods required.
  • Reliable, responsible, and conscientious.
  • Must show a sense of urgency and must be proactive
  • Ability to work well under pressure and take on new projects in fast-paced office environment with shifting priorities while maintaining deadlines.
  • Ability to work autonomously with strong attention to detail
  • Must have excellent follow up and problem-solving skills; should be able to troubleshoot, identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Exceptional communication skills, able to convey information in a clear and concise manner
  • Written communication —should be able to gather, analyze and present numerical data effectively and accurately
  • Candidate should have a positive attitude, have an eagerness to learn and be looking for a challenge
  • Strong organizational skills, very detail oriented, and very accurate; must have solid follow up experience, until the job is complete.
  • Team-player; easily gain trust and support of peers and encourage collaboration.

Pay: $48,307.00 - $79,736.00 per year
