Since 1978, Skipco Auto Auction has been serving local and national buyers and sellers. We have grown over the last 37 years from auctioning cars off in a field, to our modern 12,000 square foot Auction Facility. Running 4 lanes with new and diverse inventory every week. The Lot Supervisor is they key player to keeping the Lot Team focused, organized, and working efficiently by monitoring and assisting with overall lot duties, such as moving cars to appropriate areas on the lot and by ensuring the vehicles are ready for the next auction and ready for customers to pick them up. They also help customers find their vehicle and perform customer services duties for them as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Oversee the organization and maintenance of the lot by ensuring lot personnel is moving vehicles to designated and appropriate areas.
• Partners with Outside Operations manager, Reconditioning Supervisor and Transportation Supervisor on daily basis to ensure all areas and departments working together are properly supported.
• Partner with Outside Operations Manager to establish new ideas to improve organization and efficiencies within the department.
• After cars have been sold, ensure the lot attendants are moving the cars to the appropriate lot areas keeping the lot organized.
• Ensure any vehicle is ready for the customers before they are retrieved. (Make sure it has gas, everything works as described, has been cleaned, etc.)
• Keep up to date on current auction listings and ensure vehicles are rearranged as needed.
• Assist customers as needed and ensure lot personnel is giving excellent customer service.
• Performs other duties as assigned, will be crossed trained in Registration.

EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

• Valid DL & Clean driving record required to be approved for Insurance policy.
• Prior Supervisory experience required.
• Excellent communication skills in dealing with employees & customers
• Ability to perform physical tasks as directed
• Strong attention to detail
• Good attendance record

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

• Ensure all scheduled employees present are accounted for each day. Communicate any absences to Management and ensure business & department coverage needs are met.
• Address any issues on the lot in a timely and appropriate manner.
• Will be the designated trainer for new lot employees
• Will assist Management with introductory 90 day & Annual Performance Reviews for lot employees.
• Will assist Management with corrective actions as needed for lot employees.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to stand, sit or walk for prolonged period of times
• Must be willing to be exposed to weather elements for periods of times
