Job Summary:
Markel Corporation, a Fortune 500 Company, is seeking a Mail Room Associate for the Omaha, NE office.
The Mail Room Associate will manage the timely and accurate printing and mailing of business correspondence, which includes but is not limited to paper and electronic mail and packages. This position will facilitate outgoing mail delivery in order to insure compliance of all business functions.
This candidate selected will need to stay current and knowledgeable of procedures to ensure all department standards and guidelines are meet. The Associate will work independently and must be willing to assist and help others when assigned by the supervisor/lead.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with the processing of all outgoing mail to our Insureds or Brokers
- Assist with production equipment used for mailings such as Inserters and Printers
- Understanding and expertise to execute on assigned Performance Goals via following prescribed training guidelines
- Adhere to prescribed productivity standards
- Adhere to prescribed accuracy standards
- Contribute to team meeting service level standards set forth by department leadership
- Maintain a professional working relationship with colleagues at Markel
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma Required
- Strong written and typing skills
- Strong oral communication skills
- Adequate in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Strong Team Player
- Ability to be on your feet at least 25% of your day
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Full time in the office
This role requires the individual to be on-site all business days (Monday-Friday)

The base salary offered for the successful candidate will be based on compensable factors such as job-relevant education, job-relevant experience, training, licensure, demonstrated competencies, geographic location, and other factors.
