Maintenance-FT Job at American National University
American National University in Salem, VA is looking for a full-time handyman to care for their building/grounds and general cleaning/maintenance:
Requirements
At least 18 years of age
Attention to detail
Strong organizational skills
Excellent communication skills
Previous maintenance and/or janitorial experience
Mechanic experience a plus
Electrical/HVAC experience preferred
Duties
Outside Facility
- Spray/Sweep the entrances and sidewalks around the entire building
- Clean up cigarettes and any other trash around building perimeter
- Clean glass doors on both sides
- Once a week – spray perimeter for weeds. Sweep up mulch. In general, make sure landscaping is nice and clean.
Inside Facility
- Turn on lights in the building and unlock doors
- If needed, replace light bulbs
- Clean out classrooms and labs of any trash or other cleaning duties as assigned
Other Duties:
- Other duties as requested
- Organize items in workrooms and other storage areas
- Keep vehicles clean inside and out
- Keep fuel in vehicles
- Help with maintenance of vehicles
- Run errands as needed
- Adhere to Monthly Calendar Maintenance per Site Manager and/or Administration
