PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

To perform a wide range of maintenance and repair activities on production equipment and plant facilities to meet production requirements and general operational needs.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Performs a variety of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and other types of diagnosis and repair of production and support equipment. Performs scheduled preventative maintenance activities on equipment in order to minimize downtime and lengthen equipment useful life. Maintains appropriate repair logs and notes in order to track repair trends and set future preventative maintenance schedules. Works closely with production supervision and technical support to assist in proper equipment set-up and operation. Operates in accordance with all applicable maintenance safety guidelines in order insure the safety of all plant employees. Follows all required safety standards, wears appropriate PPE for job activities and maintains production equipment in proper and safe working order. Cleans and maintains working area to promote safety and efficiency. Training needs are according to Core Molding Technologies training matrix for this specific position.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Normal circumstances: Ability to lift or carry up to 40 pounds in a single lift/carry. Frequent lifting above the shoulders and below the waist. Ability to push or pull up to 100 pounds in a single push/pull. Standing continuously up to 2 hours, for a total of 6 hours per day. Walking continuously up to 2 hours, for a total of 8 hours per day. Use of hand tools intermittently up to 7 hours per day. Other intermittent activities will include bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting/turning up to 7 hours per day.

Breaks: 10 minutes every 2 hours. Idle time within the job exists while employee is reading, writing, or standing.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Level of Education: General: High School Diploma, GED

Mechatronic Degree strongly desired

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $32.00 per hour
