WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

As the Full-Time Maintenance & Facilities I, you’ll perform various skilled maintenance duties on a variety of buildings and facility equipment, fixtures and systems. You’ll also perform a variety of duties in construction, maintenance, electrical, painting and mechanical areas and/or specializes in an area such as plumbing or electrical. This classification is reserved for those performing skilled duties.

SCHEDULE

· 2 SHIFTS AVAILABLE : Monday - Friday &Tuesday - Saturday

· $800 SIGN ON BONUS

· Rate of Pay: $25/hour PLUS shift differentials ($0.40-$1.10)

· Include evenings and weekends as needed

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

· Performs preventative and corrective maintenance projects for the facility physical plant, residential dwelling units, Administrative area and common areas.

· Operates and tests emergency and electrical systems. Conducts test and inspects the Fire Life Safety System equipment and devices, records/documents as required.

· Monitors all equipment for proper operation. Conducts and documents daily building inspections in conjunction with Supervisor/Manager.

· Installs, troubleshoots, repairs and maintains various plumbing, mechanical and electrical systems.

· Prepares surfaces for painting or coating including cleaning, patching, priming, taping texturing and caulking. Operates various pieces of equipment associated with painting and coating such as air compressors, airless spray equipment, texture guns, striper, rollers and brushes.

· Maintains inventory of maintenance supplies, equipment and paint/coating supplies and equipment.

· Reviews service requests for repairs and maintenance; determines nature of problems and recommends appropriate solutions; performs necessary work.

· Cover front desk security and/or reception duties when assigned and as needed.

SKILLS:

· Patience and understanding of the elderly.

· Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical and carpentry techniques and procedures.

· Knowledge of skilled trades and general understanding of building codes.

· Well-founded knowledge of practices, tools, equipment, methods and materials used in maintenance.

· Familiarity with Title 22 requirements and maintenance/life safety procedures and methods.

· Knowledge and understanding of and ability to comply with work safety practices plus the guidelines relating to industrial chemicals.

· A minimum of 4-5 years skilled maintenance experience.

REQUIREMENTS

Must be capable of performing the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations. Must meet health assessment required by the CA Department of Public Health as well as TB testing and fingerprint clearances required by the CA DSS/CCL. Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing sufficient to perform the tasks required.
