Maintenance Technician - Skill II
As a Maintenance Technician Skill II, the work you do to care for the home away from home will be felt by our guests and colleagues. What you will be doing:
- Troubleshoot HVAC/Refrigeration equipment
- Perform routine repairs and maintenance on hotel facilities and equipment. Inspect and provide preventive maintenance for suites and villas
- Participate in departmental trainings on equipment to the satisfaction of the Supervisor. Trainings will cover specific points in the daily operations of the department. Report status of equipment to the Supervisor through service sheets or verbal communications to ensure proper functions and safety. Supportive to hotel wide training programs including but not limited to: OSHA, Safety, Educational and Associate Enhancement programs to assure the continual upgrading of department personnel
- Change A/C filters and clean fan coil units
- Update records of repairs and tasks performed
- Inventory and requisition supplies and parts as needed
- Perform maintenance requests as assigned
- Respond to all emergencies including fire alarms, bomb threats, disasters and power failures; notify the appropriate authorities
Your experience and skills include:
- Three years experience in a related maintenance/engineering field
- Minimum of 70% proficient in skill sets of HVAC/Refrigeration equipment and all guest room-related calls
- Previous hotel or office building work experience is an asset
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Highly responsible & reliable
Your team and working environment:
- Must be able to lift up to 50-lbs on a frequent basis
- Constant walking & standing
- Occasional kneeling, pushing and pulling
- Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
- Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity
