WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Sofusa, a Sorrento Therapeutics Inc. company, is seeking a Manager of Customer Accounts to join our team. This position is responsible for developing and managing small territory regional accounts focused initially on Molecular Diagnostics, then expanding to include Bio-Analytical Laboratory Services and business to business diagnostics.
Specifically, this includes:
- Participating and being accountable for the successful development and execution of an accounts plan aligned with annual operating plan.
- Demonstrating skills and excellence in all phases of account development and management.
- Use of Laboratory Information Management System.
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining a Customer Relationship Management system.
- Working with principal, provide strategic plans for new account models such as direct to consumer, business to business and at-home testing.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:

- Directly participate in identifying and generating new account opportunities, including direct to providers, clinics, hospitals, business institutions, government, direct to consumer, business to business as well as Reference Lab and Client Bill Agreements.
- Develop and execute formal account strategy and lead generation tools.
- Establish an accounts dashboard, data analytics and key metrics for forecasting and reporting accounts.
- Make calls and provide presentations to prospective and existing customers and clients.
- Establish practice profiles for providers, negotiate and establish contracts for bioanalytical laboratory services or Business-to-Business diagnostics.
- Manage accounts providing customer and client delight while servicing accounts ensuring proper.
- Provide professional presentations of business accounts, relevant data, and appropriate analytics.
- Work across regions sharing best practices with other account managers and directors
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will seek, accept, and complete work with the utmost professionalism delivering exceptional results on time and budget and within quality, safety and legal guidelines.- Understands and agrees to abide by all Company policies and procedures, including but not limited to healthcare compliance laws and regulations, participates in compliance training and stays abreast of appropriate healthcare laws and regulations. Identifies and immediately reports any potential risk of noncompliance, identifying areas of opportunity for improvement.
- Generates accounts while also contributing to broader accounts team.
- Works effectively with external customers, internal and external partners, and stakeholders to develop and demonstrate trust and build an unimpeachable reputation.
- Ensures timely and accurate reporting to the Executive Director of all account activities and required reports, data analytics and other standard accounts documents, utilizing the LIMS and other sources of information.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE:

- At least 5 years’ experience as a medical account specialist with a proven track record targeting and managing Clinical Laboratory Improvements Amendments (CLIA) Lab, direct to consumer, business to business
- Knowledge of Clinical Laboratory Improvements Amendments (CLIA) lab landscape (companies, offerings, points of differentiation)
- Business and territory management experience (Targeting, messaging, programs, compliance)
- Knowledge of point of care and at-home diagnostics services a plus
- Strong business acumen and skills in communication and collaboration with business leaders (from customers to C-Suite)
