We are looking for…
a People & Culture Manager that is experienced, approachable, trustworthy, calm under pressure, authentic, and always looking to go above and beyond for our team. Reporting directly to our Regional Director of People and Culture, you will oversee, refine, and execute our people-focused initiatives. This creative and dynamic role is perfect for someone who is a champion of creating an engaging, fun, and purpose-driven work environment, who is passionate about upholding our values while providing support to departmental leadership and team members within our organization.

Job Duties
  • Must maintain strict confidentiality in terms of employee information; compensation, medical events, and disciplinary processes.
  • Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable HR federal and state requirements, conducting investigations, and maintaining records.
  • Work closely with the property Hotel Manager on property training, service, and quality initiatives.
  • The main point of contact for coaching & counseling and other disciplinary conversations. Will escalate to Regional Director if needed.
  • Manage the recruitment process for all levels of employees.
  • Maintain solid industry awareness and market intelligence in terms of hiring trends, competitive landscape, compensation trends and recruitment challenges.
  • Track, report, and deliver on key performance indicators, e.g. candidate experience, hiring manager experience, quality of hire, time to fill and diversity targets.
  • Support senior leaders on key areas such as building an inclusive and diverse team, creating a culture of belonging, and acting as a sounding board for all associates to encourage cross-training, collaboration, and high performance
  • Plans quarterly employee appreciation events.
  • Plans surprise and delight moments for employees throughout the year; holidays, pop-up treats etc.
  • Manage community service and volunteer initiatives.
  • Handle workers compensation claims process.
  • Monitor work of P&C Coordinator to ensure accuracy and completion of tasks.
  • Hold monthly 121’s with department heads and junior leaders
  • Conduct 30-day stay interviews
  • Represent P&C in monthly Strategic Action Plan, and other departmental calls
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Warm and welcoming personality.
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish) a plus
  • A minimum of 5 years of HR experience in hospitality is preferred.
  • Team Player.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a faced-paced environment.
  • Flexible schedule is sometimes required to meet the needs of the business.
