Overview:This is a highly visible position within the organization focused on the development of control systems and software for fixtures, existing product enhancements, and new product development. The individual in this role will also help identify opportunities for automation, select equipment, develop solutions, and support the successful launch of these projects.
Responsibilities:

• Own the development of control systems and software development for Bruno fixtures, existing products, and new products in development
• Develop electrical design, schematics, and drawings in AutoCAD and/or Solidworks for fixtures and automation deployment
• Interpret mechanical specifications and drawings to determine electrical requirements
• Research supplier components for fixture and automation builds
• Develop bills of materials (electrical components)
• Support development of Bruno’s automation strategy and roadmap
• Identify opportunities for automation and participate in implementation projects
• Review, modify, and enhance existing code/programs
• Troubleshoot existing fixtures, automated systems, and controls
• Develop user manuals for software programs, automated systems, and fixtures

Qualifications:Education and Experience:

• Bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering, controls engineering, or computer controls engineering.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience programming and deploying automation solutions and controls systems in a manufacturing environment is required.
• Ability to program machinery in a variety of programming languages.
• Experience troubleshooting control system issues
• Familiarity with various motion controllers, actuators, vision system programming and robot programming
• Familiarity with industrial standards (UL, CE, etc.)
• Working knowledge on configuring and programming industrial machine controls, including AC/DC drives and servo drives; Mitsubishi drive and controls familiarity is a plus.
• Experience programming various PLCs
• Experience configuring and designing HMIs.
• Ability to create and read machine control electrical schematics.
• Familiarity with CAD programs Solidworks and AutoCAD is a plus.
• Familiarity with scanning and inspection processes is a plus.

• Regular office environment, approximately 50%
• Modern production and Assembly facilities with heat and air conditioning approximately 45%
• Occasional travel including outside of the US less than 15%
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers to handle or touch; and talk and hear
• The employee is regularly required to stand, squat, and ambulate to evaluate product and fixtures
• The employee is required to lift up to 30 pounds, regularly; up to 50 pounds, occasionally
