Market Developer Job at BARENTZ NORTH AMERICA LLC
Barentz is a leading sales and marketing distribution company focused exclusively on serving global producers of specialty chemicals and their North American customers. The Market Developer role works within our Market Development team to identify and qualify potential customers and prospects. This position plays an important role in the overall Barentz sales process. You will work with our Director of Lead Management to identify and gather information about end-user markets. Duties include compiling prospective customer databases and qualifying individual customer prospects over the telephone. Successful candidates enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and providing critical support to the Barentz sales process.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Helps develop established script to use when calling prospects.
- Calls prospective customers in designated market area to qualify leads and explain type of service or product offered.
- Informs current and prospective customers of new or upgraded products.
- Enters names, addresses, purchases, and reactions of prospects solicited into computer database system.
- Develops lists of prospects from business databases, trade and professional association membership lists, and other public records.
- Prepares report on lead activities.
- Help develop sales and marketing strategies designed to exceed objectives
- Identify new opportunities to add value by monitoring industry changes, trends, and customer needs
- Develop and perform according to sales and profit forecast
- Prepare detailed plan for market segment and individual accounts
- Identify customer problems and suggest solutions
- Work with Barentz's producer partners to execute plans and as a resource to serve end use customers
Specialized Knowledge/Skills:
We are currently seeking a full-time person with a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) or higher. Relevant skills include Microsoft Office Suite, PC Skills, and CRM. This position requires an individual who is comfortable making 40 + cold calls per day.
