We're looking for a Marketing Content Specialist that is ready to help bring our mission to life through engaging content and smart communications that celebrates the people and community that we serve.

The Marketing Content Specialist will help create and share the story of Goodwill of Central Iowa across digital and print platforms. This position plays a key role in advertising and marketing Goodwill to various audiences, designing promotional materials, upkeep of various social media platforms, and developing multimedia content, including photo, video, and written copy.

Job Duties:

• Collaborates with the marketing team to develop content for newsletters, website, blogs, social media, email campaigns and in-store promotional materials.
• Assists the Marketing Manager to ensure consistency in the messaging, branding, content, and look and feel of all internal and external communications and marketing materials.
• Executes photography and videography for special events, store promotions and general marketing needs.
• Creates and maintains Goodwill website and social media content, ensuring content is accurate and up to date, engaging, and optimizes website performance with keyword, accessibility, and SEO/SEM
• Supports strategic marketing priorities in the creation of content and tracking of program success.
• Maintains organization and documentation of Goodwill creative assets.
• Fulfills marketing related requests for internal teams in need of signage, website content, etc.
• Coordinates with multiple departments to define project requirements, create timelines, ensures content accuracy, and meets budget criteria.
• Coordinate with external vendors and freelance network on projects.
• Performs other work duties as assigned.

• Experience with Wordpress, HTML, Photoshop, and email campaign platforms.

• Detail-oriented, ability to coordinate and meet deadlines for multiple projects running concurrently.
• Demonstrated ability to think both creatively and analytically.
• Effective communication skills and flexibility to handle the unexpected.
• Understanding of, and adherence to, brand standards and mission messaging.
• Excellent customer service

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in marketing, communications, journalism, or related field.
• Two or more years of design, photography, and video experience
• Ability to travel to various locations within Goodwill of Central Iowa territory.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Suite
• Access to reliable transportation for regular participation in work and possess valid Iowa Driver’s License, a good driving record, insurable, and able to provide proof of personal vehicle insurance with a minimum of $100,000 per person and $300,000 per accident auto insurance liability coverage.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
