Job Description:

A member of the Integrated Marketing team, the Marketing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the details and schedules of marketing projects and special assignments, as well as managing internal community-wide communications and events for a unified and timely dissemination through various platforms. The Marketing Coordinator must be an excellent communicator through in-person, phone, and digital interactions assisting marketing and communication efforts all while upholding and supporting the mission of the University.


ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Manages the day-to-day workload and assignment of marketing projects. Acts as first point of contact for incoming jobs and allocates resources appropriately;
  • With marketing leadership, determines project viability, priority, and marketing department role;
  • Works with campus "clients" to obtain necessary project requirements to determine scope, timelines, budget, and other factors;
  • Facilitates communication regarding project status with appropriate stakeholders;
  • Works collaboratively with the Integrated Marketing team, administrators, staff, faculty, and students at the University to gather, analyze, and optimize marketing related data for external communication;
  • Assists management by creating an inventory and directory of digital and print media support materials making sure all resources are accurate and current while coordinating new material creation as needed;
  • Keep a record of events hosted by various departments throughout each semester;
  • Develop appropriate systems and procedures to address current and future department needs;
  • Copyedit and proofread design drafts with a close eye for accuracy in content, flow and logo/brand requirements;
  • Assist Web Content Manager in monitoring the University's website content to ensure accuracy with event dates and deadlines;
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree, required, in marketing, management, communications;

2. 1-3 years marketing experience, required; higher education experience preferred;

3. Technology proficiency required; experience with Microsoft Office, Constant Contact, and Basecamp preferred;

4. Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment;

5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required along with the ability to work both in a team setting and as an individual;

6. Experience working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders across divisions;

7. Must be willing to contribute actively to the mission of the University;

8. COVID-19 vaccination and booster required.
