Marketing Specialist Job at Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast Inc
The Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing and supporting branded marketing, promotions, and advertising in close collaboration with the Marketing Manager including, but not limited to, planning and developing digital content to support the affiliates communications goals, supporting reputation management on digital properties, and the delivery of engaging and accurate information for patients, program participants and the PPGC service area. The Marketing Specialist should demonstrate an understanding of and a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, quality health care and excellent customer service.
Essential Functions
- Work closely with Marketing Manager to develop and support patient care marketing, promotions, and advertising (both paid advertising and organic social media content)
- Regularly review all components of marketing plans with Marketing Manager, internal team, and marketing consultants to ensure quality standards
- Provide market analysis for current and proposed health services to better understand the landscape and how PPGC can remain competitive
- Analyze and report on the performance and effectiveness of marketing campaigns in collaboration with Marketing Manager
- Develop digital content for patient and public-facing display monitors in collaboration with Patient Care and the Communications team
- Partner with Patient Care team to coordinate and implement direct patient communications and health services campaigns via digital channels
- Support online appointment scheduling platform to improve patients online experience
- Manage PPGCs health center pages for accurate information, timely updates, and improved patient experience
- Support management of patient reviews (via Yelp, Google My Business, etc.) to ensure brand reputation
- Collaborate and coordinate with PPGC teams and partners to achieve goals
- Complete other marketing and communications projects as assigned

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Knowledge of diverse groups, working with a multicultural workforce, and sensitivity and appreciation to cultural differences is required
- Demonstrated ability to be thorough and conscientious in managing multiple projects and deadlines, working with staff at all levels of the organization, and maintaining files.
Education and/or Experience
- 2-3 years of experience in marketing, advertising, or communications with a corporate or nonprofit organization
- Health care marketing or marketing agency experience preferred
Language Skills
- English required, bilingual in Spanish preferred
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
