ABOUT US

Ideal Martial Arts(previously known as Mentors Taekwondo Academy) has been in business in newbury park for over 5 years, and recently opened a second location in San Gabriel. We have a Traditional Martial Arts base and lineage, with a modern approach to teaching and self-defense.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Must be a Black Belt in a hard style traditional Martial Art (Tang Soo Do, Tae Kwon Do, Shotokan, etc.)

Have at least 1 year of teaching experience teaching children, teens & adults.

Must have above average energy, a huge personality, passionate about teaching, a fast learner, a team player, no ego and posses stage energy.

Hard working, self-starter & motivated! Must have patience & work well with children, teens & adults.

Cross-training in other styles (weapons, boxing, self defense, etc) would be a plus, but curriculum is first..

JOB DUTIES

Work involves leading classes in our martial arts school, which provides instruction to men, women & children in fitness, self -defense & life skill benefits.

Responsible for keeping students on track for belt testings & graduations.

Keeping daily accurate attendance records and contacting MIA students.

Delegates to assistant instructors into leading selected activities during designated parts of the class on a periodic basis for training purposes.

Responsible for daily upkeep and appearance of the school throughout the day.

Assist with daily operations including: marketing, answering phones, setting appointments & selling retail merchandise.

Conduct special events such as birthday parties, seminars and extra curriculum activities.

COMPENSATION & OTHER

Compensation: Starting at $30,000 Salary based on experience after 3 months paid training.
