Zachry Group is accepting applications for experienced Material Control Coordinators for new construction work to support Venture Global's PLNG project in Port Sulphur, La.

Position Summary

The Material Control Coordinator is an analytical professional that performs the creation & maintenance of the Bills of Material. This position is integral in the planning & support of Advanced Work Packaging by providing project personnel with constraints and material readiness.

Position Responsibilities

• Coordinate / Communicate directly with Work Face Planning, Scheduling, Engineering, and Expediting to collect necessary Bills of Material detail and work package attributes
• Revise & populate Bills of Material data in the Material Management System (MMS)
• Generate requisitions for material shortages related to Bills of Material
• Perform Bills of Material related transactions including generating pick tickets and issuing material within the Material Management System (MMS)
• Support team in generating reports for the project team
• Continuously review Material Readiness look ahead reports and provide status to project team to eliminate material constraints
• Lead one or more clerks in daily transactions
• Other tasks as required

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be able to read and write legibly
• Must have 1-12 months of experience on an industrial construction project
• Must be self-motivated and be able to work with little to no supervision
• Knowledge and understanding of Material Control, Material Management, and Material Management Systems

Preferred Additional Qualification

• Current Zachry or Zachry ROF’ed employee.
• Former experience working with Zachry Industrial, Inc.
• 1-5 years of experience on an industrial construction project.
• Knowledge and understanding of Advanced Work Packaging Process & SPM (Smart Plant Materials)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Associate’s degree

Physical Requirements

• Employees may be required to adhere to large amounts of sitting and occasional amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, and lifting.
• Will talk and hear to communicate.
• Occasionally be required to spend time on the construction site to verify material. and will need to have the ability to walk and climb various outdoor conditions.
• Ability to work alone and with others including craft, planners, managers, engineers, suppliers, and customers.
