This is a Production Material Handling position.

Current opening on 1st shift

Basic Overview:

• 20% Mixing plastic pellet resins (recipes provided).
• 40% Cleaning Plastic Auxiliary Equipment.
• 30% Staging or putting away all material at injection molding machines.
• 10% Driving forklift (we will teach you if you don’t have a license)

Skills:

• Graduated High School or GED.
• Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience.
• Able to lift typical 25 – 35 lbs. and may weigh up to 70 lbs.
• Walk or stand for 8 hours.
• Use Ladders and portable platforms.
• Good balance and spatial awareness.

Job Details:

• Perform daily rundowns/walkthrough with the previous shift's Material Handler or Shift supervisor receiving critical material handling information to continue smooth operations.
• Will be trained to be proficient using our computer system to do the following:
• Look up material information
• Move material from various locations
• Utilize handheld scanners to perform many of your transactions.
• Creating material labels for various types of materials.
• Moving finished goods from production floor to warehouse.
• Properly perform inventory adjustments.
• Learn how to mix plastic resin. (We will train you).
• Calculate percentages and mixing ratios.
• Learn how to use gravimetric blenders.
• Mix small batches of material manually.
• Use various size scales to count parts, resin, or components needed for job.
• Thoroughly clean plastic scrap grinders, hoppers, dryers, and mixers when needed.
• Operate a forklift (sit down and stand-up models).
• Need to learn how to efficiently utilize your time to maintain plastic resin levels at machines.
• Able to prioritize your tasks to align with existing jobs running and new jobs coming up.
• Ability to re-prioritize your day when problems occur.
