Material Handler

We are currently looking for a Material Handler to join our team in Vancouver, WA. This role is full-time in-office. The pay range is $20.00-$22.00/hour DOE.
Primary Function:
The Material Handler is responsible for the movement, storage, and control of materials throughout the entire process from receipt to shipping or consumption/disposal. The Material Handler’s main role will be to ensure material is distributed to meet and exceed customers’ expectations; right part, to the right place, at the right time. This position will be the conduit of incoming and outgoing material to the production process, in conformance with client expectations and Sigma Design standards.
Essential Job Functions - Responsibilities:
- Execute ERP transactions quickly and accurately to support internal and external customers
- Safe and proper movement and storage of materials to coincide with ERP transaction
- Responsible for conducting cycle counts on incoming and currently stocked material, and supporting reconciliations to resolve inventory variances
- Responsible for identifying, labeling, locating and placing stocked material
- Systematically pull item(s) and quantity using pick ticket
- Perform verification of physical stock on hand
- Use barcode scanner to identify item number, serial number, and/or lot number
- May assist with receiving or shipping of products, parts and/or materials
- Support continuous improvement efforts as it relates to inventory control, or the betterment of the organization
- Follow Business Technology policies to protect sensitive data and reduce information security occurrences
Education and Experience: (Knowledge, skills, & abilities)
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience preferred
- Knowledge of inventory terms such as bins, inventory status, committed/allocated, backordered, pick(ing) list, bill of materials
- Experience with MRP/ERP software, experience with NetSuite preferred
- Ability to lift products up to 50 lbs.
- Familiar with material flow in a factory environment (Receiving -> Inventory Storage -> Assembly -> Shipping)
- Able to use all material handling tools safely and properly, including racks/carts, and pallet jack
- Methodical and detail oriented, process driven
- Forklift certification preferred
- Strong written and verbal English language communication skills.
- Excellent teamwork/interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, both within and outside one's own work group.

Work Environment
INVENTORY/SHIPPING/RECEIVING: Standard warehouse/production environment which requires regular sitting, standing, bending, reaching and moving about the facility. Must be able to stand and work as long as 12 hours in different positions. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted. Temperature of work area may be affected by outside temperatures.
