Material Handler Job at UPM

UPM Raflatac is currently looking for a Material Handler to join our team in Vancouver, Washington who will be responsible for receiving and inspecting inbound material and shipping finished products.
What you will do:
  • Offload & inspect inbound raw material and laminate
  • Create labels for required raw material and correctly load raw material and laminate into warehouse system
  • Properly dispose of all waste packaging materials associated with inbound materials
  • Properly document any damage observed when material is off-loaded
  • Verify that all paperwork is accurate according to the actual materials being received
  • Communicate effectively with drivers
  • Shipping finished products; Unload mill rolls, maintain inventory of materials, wrapping pallets & pulling stock orders
  • Assist in other areas of finishing as needed
  • Perform all duties in full compliance of all laws, safety and environmental regulations, and in a manner consistent with company policies and procedures.
  • Perform all duties consistent with the Roles and Responsibilities defined in the company’s OHS Standards and Guidelines.
Who you are:
  • Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to High School education and 1-2 years work experience in an industrial setting.
  • Ability to work well within a team required.
  • Must have well-developed problem solving skills, including the ability and willingness to apply a systematic approach to the process.
  • Must be computer-literate.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability understand and adhere to written work instructions.
  • Must be highly motivated and able to work without direct supervision.
  • Must have ability to multi-task.
  • Must be willing to work in a safe manner and ability to keep work area neat and organized. Must have excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Must have forklift experience, forklift certification - desired.
