Math Professional Development Manager: Full-Time (Mississippi) Job at Catapult Learning
Catapult Learning, LLC is looking for a qualified and experienced Math Professional Development Manager in Mississippi!
This full-time position focuses on coordinating the sale and delivery of Math professional development (PD) and family engagement workshops to district leaders, school administrators, teachers, and parents to improve school culture, instructional practices, and student learning outcomes. The ideal candidate will be skilled in assessing and processing professional development needs, communicating effectively with district and school personnel, problem solving, and demonstrating flexibility, adaptability, and the growth mindset to address the changing needs of the clients served. Local travel to schools is required. This position reports to the PD Director and collaborates with regional leadership teams, PD Coordinators, and PD Specialists. Much of this role is remote, but a willingness to travel throughout the state is necessary.

Professional Development Manager Job Duties:
- Partner with customer liaisons, operations, and sales teams to understand Math PD program requirements.
- Prepare written reports and track details of scheduled and delivered PD services and allocations.
- Promote and facilitate discussions on how to create a safe and positive learning environment that is conducive to the needs of all students through our PD offerings.
- Support schools throughout the PD process with requests, planning, preparation, and documentation.
- Ensure the programs meet required goals for client satisfaction, general quality, and other specified goals.
- Support the development of systems for effective, intentional, and collaborative communication among teachers, families, and students.
- Communicate with and offer potential solutions to the PD Director regarding customer service, program challenges, and opportunities.
- Establish a positive professional rapport with school staff, principals, and the school district.
- Provide PD workshops and job-embedded coaching support for PD Specialists.
- Communicate actively and work collaboratively with all stakeholders regarding PD programs.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual end-of-year report for submission to the districts served.
- Assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training of PD Specialists.
- Participate in online training and conference calls to discuss PD opportunities, provide program status updates, and prepare for upcoming PD sessions.
- Assist in other areas as needed due to the increase in customer needs throughout the school year.
- Be willing and able to travel both locally and regionally (30%).
- Other duties as assigned.
Professional Development Manager Requirements:
- Master Degree or higher in Education
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory position
- Minimum of 3 years of experience facilitating professional development and providing strengths-based instructional coaching support to teachers and leaders within a school setting
- Extensive administrative experience
- Proficient knowledge of Cloud-based storage and file sharing, Microsoft Office products and/or Google Suite products; knowledge of video conferencing platforms like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meets, etc.
- Highly organized and process-oriented
- Excellent communication and writing skills are essential
- Excellent customer service skills to work with a diverse population of administrators, teachers, students, and families
