Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30-5:00.

Mechanical Technician

A Mechanical Technician is someone who likes to work with their hands, but can work with their minds as well. They aid in the fabrication, maintenance, and repair of component parts and products. Some of the duties require manual labor, while others require analyzing and interpreting data. Being a successful Mechanical Technician takes both technical and non-technical skills. The Mechanical Technician must have an aptitude for mechanics and an eye for detail. Their function is to ensure that all parts and products under their care are in proper working order and meet the quality standards of the company.

Mechanical Technician Duties and Responsibilities

· Repair and Maintain Machinery

· Devise Preventative Measures to Avoid Machine Downtime

· Keep Meticulous Records of Machine Service History

· Identify any defective items and handle according to established procedures

· Ability to use reason to solve problems as they arise

· Mechanical Technician Skills

· Willingness and Ability to learn carpentry skills

· Meet all safety requirements of the company

· Ability to complete detail work into a finished product

· The ability to paint, stain and do trim work

· Operation monitoring

Requirements:

· A High School Diploma or GED.

· Attention to detail.

· Excellent hand-eye coordination.

· Skilled with mechanics.

· Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.

· Willing to perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing for extended periods of time.

· Must have good eyesight, including depth perception, peripheral vision, and ability to differentiate between colors.
