Medical Assistant I - Onsite Job at Oracle

Provide outstanding clinical care by executing administrative and clinical tasks in a team environment.

Treat acute and chronic disease management and promote wellness and illness prevention through direct member care for all ages as directed by a provider. Take member vitals, input member symptoms into an electronic medical record, collect laboratory specimens and administer immunization/shots. Communicate medical knowledge in lay-person terms to enhance patient education and understanding of acute, chronic and progressive disease processes. Prepare equipment, members and providers for office-based procedures and testing. Schedule follow-up appointments, referrals, and diagnostic testing and obtain member records to ensure the continuity of care. Follow established policies and procedures to work in clinic environment involving possible exposure to potentially hazardous materials and situations that require safety precautions and may include use of personnel protective equipment. People Management Responsibilities (for associates with one or more direct reports): Seek to understand disagreements, ensure all perspectives are heard and facilitate a plan for resolution. Delegate the work appropriately, provide clear expectations and follow up to ensure progress and overcome roadblocks. Identify associates and team priorities based on business direction and adjust when needed. Lead by example and share knowledge and experiences with associates and team. Create a respectful work environment where you advocate for your team, create accountability and recognize accomplishments. Provide timely feedback to encourage success, ensure accountability and connect opportunities for your associates' development. Identify the right talent to achieve the desired results. Promote and build a diverse and cohesive team to accomplish objectives and align associates' skills to fill gaps.

As a Medical Assistant, you will focus on patient education, wellness, and prevention, interview patients, measure vital signs such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight and height and record information on patients' charts, prepare treatment and room patients for examination, including cleans and sterilizes instruments. You will also perform inventory and order medical supplies and materials, operate electrocardiograph (EKG) and other equipment, performs administrative tasks, complete appropriate client company forms, and provide assistance at the front desk. Basic Qualifications
  • High School Diploma
  • Certified as a Medical Assistant or completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of work experience in a Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Occupational Health, Emergency Medicine, Primary Care or Urgent Care health center setting
  • Basic Life Support Certification
