Medical Assistant/Receptionist - Endocrinology Job at Torrance Memorial Health System
We are currently accepting applications for a Medical Assistant/Receptionist with experience in Endocrinology to join our team.
Our hours are from 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday.
Medical Assistant/Receptionist duties will include but are not limited to:
· Preparing and maintaining exam rooms in a clean and orderly manner
· Documenting patient chief complaints in electronic medical record
· Coordinating care and completing tasks as directed by physicians
· Contacting pharmacies with new medication and/or order changes as directed
· Giving vaccinations/injections, performing Vitals, A1c’s
· Scheduling follow up appointments/Chart prepping for the next day
· Downloading insulin pump data
Requirements
· At least one year experience as a medical assistant preferably in an Endocrinology setting
· Knowledge of medical terminology
· Electronic Medical Records proficiency; Cerner preferred
· The desire to work in a fast pace environment
· The ability to communicate clearly to patients and fellow staff members both verbally and in writing
Educational Requirement:
· A High School Diploma or GED
· A valid Medical Assistant diploma; certificate strongly preferred
· A valid CPR card
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.50 - $25.13 per hour
