Part Time: Sunday and Mondays 7:30 am - 4:00 pm

The Glen at Scripps Ranch is currently hiring a part time Medication Technician in the Resident Health Services department. The Medication Technician assists residents with self-administration of medications. Assists residents so that independent living can be maintained for as long as appropriate and possible.
- Accepts, accounts, and documents all new medications brought into the facility. Safely prepares and aides with resident self-administration of medications with zero medication error rate. Maintains accurate medication documentation and records.
- Responds to all medical emergencies in Residential Living.
- Takes vital signs as indicated.
- Safely prepares and assists with resident self-administration of medications.
- Keeps Supervisor informed of residents’ status
Qualifications:
- Minimum work experience may be met by one of the following:
- One year of experience as a caregiver in a facility with a minimum of six months providing medication assistance. In-home caregiving experience may also be transferable or
- Current CNA certification or
- Pharmacy Technician certification
- Current First Aid, CPR and AED certification (or the ability to be re-certified)
- Excellent communication skills
- High school graduate or equivalent
