Hiring Range; $54,454.40-$59,355.30, depending on experience

Unlicensed Therapist

Hiring Range; $48,672.00-$53,052.48, depending on experience

Hiring Range; $20.16-$21.97, depending on experience

Licensed Therapist:

Position Summary

The Mental and Behavioral Health Therapists provide clinical assessment, individual and family therapy, groups, therapeutic parenting, and coaching services; helping people heal by reducing mental health symptoms.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Provide trauma informed treatment.

2. Develop treatment plans and assist clients in reaching treatment goals.

3. Provide crisis intervention as needed.

4. Assess clients using assessment tools and conduct diagnostic assessments.

5. Coordinate care internally and externally, working collaboratively and constructively as part of an interdisciplinary team.

6. Participate in clinical supervision.

7. Testify in court proceedings.

8. Communicate effectively verbally and in writing with supervisor, other programs, referral sources, treatment teams and support staff.

9. Maintain positive relationships with referral sources. Respond with communications in a timely manner.

10. Maintain client charts per professional standards. Submit billing and required documentation by deadlines. Meet productivity and documentation requirements.

11. Participate in ongoing program evaluation to ensure program effectiveness.

12. Provide clinical supervision and mentoring to interns/students as needed.

Unlicensed Therapist:

1. Participate in mandatory weekly clinical supervision.

2. All treatment plans, clinical formulations, and clinical notes must be reviewed by the Mental and Behavioral Health Program Manager or designated clinician.

3. Provide trauma informed treatment.

4. Develop treatment plans and assist clients in reaching treatment goals.

5. Provide crisis intervention as needed.

6. Assess clients using assessment tools and conduct diagnostic assessments.

7. Coordinate care internally and externally, working collaboratively and constructively as part of an interdisciplinary team.

8. Testify in court proceedings.

9. Communicate effectively verbally and in writing with supervisor, other programs, referral sources, treatment teams and support staff.

3. Clinical knowledge of mental health disorders, diagnoses, addictions, and treatment.

4. Ability to communicate clearly with multidisciplinary teams regarding therapeutic goals and progress.

5. Must demonstrate and possess the ability to work collaboratively in teams.

6. Ability to testify in court.

7. Ability to be flexible, adaptable, independent, prioritize workload, able to change direction rapidly and meet deadlines.

8. Basic computer knowledge including: tele health platforms, Microsoft Office Word, and Excel.

9. Must be available to meet client’s needs.

10. Exercise independent judgment within the scope and boundaries of the department, the Agency’s Standard Operating Procedures, and Federal, State, and Local Rules and Regulations.

11. Knowledge of human development and attachment.

12. Knowledge of community resources.

13. Ability to demonstrate consistent and reliable attendance as scheduled and requested.

Education and Experience

Required:

  • Master’s degree in the social or behavioral sciences.
  • LPC, LCSW or other reimbursable licensure.

Preferred:

  • Master’s Degree plus 5 years direct child and family therapy experience or I/DD experience.
  • Reimbursable evidence-based certifications: Trauma Focused – Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TFCBT); Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR); Certified Addictions Specialist (CAS).
  • Bilingual/bicultural in Spanish or American Sign Language (ASL).
