About the role:
The overall purpose is to review stock and sales to ensure that stock is directed to the right ship, in the right volumes, at the right time to optimise profitability. Working closely with the Merchandising team to help manage the distribution of stock within the business, the role is responsible for allocating and managing ship’s stocks levels.
The ideal candidate should be able to analyse large amounts of data and make recommendations for replenishment to maximise sales potential. This role requires regular communication with the Buyers, Ship Managers, Area Managers, and other Head Office departments.
What you’ll be doing:
- Manage intake flow into business to hit monthly forecasts, drive sales and minimise risks
- Work with the Merchandising Assistants to control inventory levels, allocations, and replenishment to ships
- Provide weekly summary of key performance indicators within departments of responsibility relating to sales, stock, profit, and markdown versus budget
- Work with the buying team to deliver new ship set-ups, providing analysis and creating OTBs
- Supporting the Merchandising team in successful management of achieving departments stock and sales targets
- Liaise closely with the Area Managers, Ships and Buying team to discuss stock issues and communicate/recommend necessary actions
- Ship visits to review stock packages and highlight opportunities
- To raise Purchase Orders in line with company requirements
- Key point of contact for Vendors to ensure all goods arrive on time and maintain stock accuracy across the ships
About you:
- Experience in retail merchandise planning
- Adopts a flexible approach to work and adapts quickly and effectively to unexpected changes
- Advanced planning and analytical skills, including computer skills
- Good judgement and decision-making skills
- Confidence in suggesting calculated risks
- Strong customer awareness and understanding
- Passionate about product, with strong market and brand awareness
- Discreet, professional, and well spoken, with excellent communication skills
- Exceptionally organised, methodical, and efficient
- Time keeping & ability to meet stringent deadlines
- Must have an existing right of eligibility to work in the US
