Metrology Technician Job at HRL Laboratories

2nd Shift Position, Monday - Friday, 1pm to 9:30pm
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Test and Metrology group in Microfabrication Technology Laboratory is looking for an experienced metrology technician to support operations and monitoring of key metrology and test equipment in a cleanroom laboratory under general supervision.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Perform wafer measurements on CDSEM, DC & RF wafer probe stations, and other related tools, for various silicon and III/V semiconductor technologies- Perform routine test and metrology equipment monitoring activities and engage with equipment support as needed.
- Store and retrieve process and electrical characterization data in databases using various software platforms
- Support other cleanroom activities in test and metrology tool operations and wafer production
- Work and interact with engineers and senior technical staff .
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
3+ years of experience working in semiconductor wafer processing in a cleanroom environment- Ability to follow detailed work instructions and retain information through training on standard operating procedures to perform daily module tasks
EDUCATION DESIRED:
High School Diploma required. Associates degree or trade school certification in a technical field is a plus.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to work safely in a Class 10 cleanroom facilities, wearing personal protective equipment to include lab coveralls, hood, facemask, hairnets, safety gloves, and goggles. Good verbal and written skills to work with a large cross section of personnel.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
U.S. citizenship is required
Compensation:
The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $41.00 per hour + bonus + benefits.
