SUMMARY:

This role will be responsible for daily and weekly inventory count, assisting with all receiving and stock/inventory control and quality control of incoming materials and in keeping, sorting and issuing parts for company use only.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Daily cycle counts of plant inventory
• Identify all purchased and production items
• Provide excellent customer service with suppliers and customers
• Manage all inventory related correspondence by informing Materials Manager and relevant parties of possible inventory issues: ex: shortages of pivotal items
• Liaison between Materials and Purchasing team at main office, coordinating and informing on all possible inventory related issues
• Responsible for weekly detailed inventory count to be submitted to Plant Manager and saved on the Shared Drive for review. Notify via email of completion.
• Meeting with Materials Manager to understand the upcoming material requirements for kit production
• Responsible for putting in requisitions for the purchasing /crib items located on the spreadsheet. Report due dates for purchasing items to Materials Manager.
• Data entry requisition for a stock for the crib, follow up the order, for special materials for maintenance, repair and operations
• Properly, accurately receive incoming materials in DIS
• Responsible for receiving all packing slips at crib
• Enforcing company policy on handling out materials to employees
• Ensure old PPE is returned before issuing new PPE
• Pick branch stock orders
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Any other related duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL QUALIFICATION:

• 1-year tool crib attendant experience an asset
• Automotive manufacturing experience is an asset
• Able to follow verbal and written instructions
• High level of organizational skills & abilities
• Independent & self-motivated
• Able to organize items according to various groupings
