Partner with a dynamic, global team of experts, including underwriters, risk engineers, and analytics and claims professionals, to design, implement and service multinational insurance programs. This includes issuing timely policies, providing regulatory advice, sharing local knowledge, supporting efficient money movement capabilities and deploying large fronted limits.

Role Summary
External broker and client facing role supporting underwriters and the Multinational Client Executives on the day-to-day servicing of a portfolio of Multinational programs.
About the role
What you need to know:
  • With the support of your manager and more experienced staff, assist in the coordination of the day-to-day multinational servicing activities throughout the program lifecycle on an assigned portfolio of accounts.
  • Support pre-bind activities including:
    • Utilizing available AIG tools and technology, the completion of a comprehensive territorial analysis detailing the multinational regulatory requirements to be included in the quotation document.
    • Collection of any other specific regulatory information impacting the program including tariff and / or minimum rates, mandatory retentions or cessions and any other regulatory matters requiring engagement with the AIG network prior to binding.
    • Assist in promoting the adoption of the AIG Multinational End-to-End process, so that all parties understand and commit to roles, responsibilities and expected timelines, to provide an elevated service performance and deliver contract certainty.
    • Assistance with the drafting and collection of facultative reinsurance documentation where required, ensuring adherence to AIG protocols and guidelines.
    • Assist in the completion of hand-off documentation to the Multinational Administrator / Multinational Operations for the release of network instructions ensuring 100% accuracy and in line with bound program terms.
  • Support post-bind activities including:
    • Provide assistance in monitoring of program implementation to ensure network issues and rejects are addressed effectively and efficiently working in collaboration with underwriting, the Multinational Client Executive, and the AIG network as applicable.
    • Help to track performance and escalate where necessary utilizing appropriate escalation channels to ensure documentation is issued within agreed timeframes and premiums are collected in line with AIG payment terms.
    • In conjunction with manager or more experienced staff, provide regular updates to the appointed broker (or client if direct) on program performance until fully implemented.
  • Assist in ongoing account servicing:
    • In partnership with manager or more experienced staff, address any ad hoc mid-term enquiries including endorsements, certificate requirements or any other administrative or servicing request ensuring engagement with appropriate authority holder for approvals where required.
    • Provide tracking and performance information to underwriting and Multinational Client Executive for inclusion in periodic client stewardship meetings in which you would participate.
  • General:
    • Build strong relationships with underwriters and distribution to promote AIG Multinational.
    • Help support and contribute to internal and external strategies that align our product offerings and grow AIG multinational business.
    • Provide superior customer service to brokers and clients (internal and external).
    • Actively seek out ways to build industry and multinational subject matter expertise, by learning more about multinational capabilities, program design, and territorial information through formal and informal learning opportunities.
What we’re looking for:
  • Previous professional experience in an insurance or corporate environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work in dynamic, rapidly changing environment; adapting to changing requirements and collaborating with a wide range of colleagues to quickly deliver solutions.
  • Detail-oriented with demonstrated ability to self-direct, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
  • Takes initiative on projects and assignments, seeks alternate solutions when necessary.
  • Highly motivated and results oriented
  • Computer literacy required: IT packages, MS Outlook, Excel, Word
For positions based in California, the base salary range is $55,000 to $68,000, which is based upon the assumption that the position is located in the greater Los Angeles area. and $64,000 to $70,000 in the San Francisco area. However, the final base salary offered to a candidate may be higher or lower than the range depending on a number of factors, including the candidate’s specific work location. This position is also eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
