Principle Responsibilities & Position Purpose:

Provides professional nail care treatments for the Spa and is involved in the operation of the spa and guest services.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Average Percent of Time 80 % Performs expert nail care treatments. All treatments are to be performed to specific guidelines.

10 % Utilizes product efficiently, maintains product inventory and cleanliness. Completes commission reports accurately and timely.

5 % Provides knowledge to the guest for continued nail care utilizing products sold at the Spa.

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.

• Provide appropriate nail care treatments based on the desire and health of the guest. Do not change type of treatment without the consent of the guest.

• Provide professional nail care treatments accordance to industry practices and consistent manner with the spa. Provide all guests with consistent services for up to an 8-hour period. Treatment durations include 25 and 50 minutes.

• Properly educate guests in regard to Spa treatment and recommend appropriate products for each service given and other spa services.

• Maintain a clean and well stocked environment in nail care treatment area according to Department of Health and Departmental Standards.

• Cleans and disinfects all equipment on a daily basis.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Highest level of competence in nail care services for both hands and feet and has a complete understanding of all spa services presently offered.

• Excellent human relations skills.

• Able to communicate with the general public in a courteous and professional manner

• Must be comfortable with product recommendation.

• Demonstrated competence in specialty nail treatments

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS EDUCATION

High School Diploma.

EXPERIENCE

1-3 years nail care experience in a resort, private club or upscale salon

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES

Licensure by the Department of Cosmetology. Current certification from an approved cosmetology school required. Must have a Florida license. CPR certification preferred.
