Under the supervision of the Front Desk Manager, a night auditor handles administrative services whose function is to verify the commercial transactions made during the day to balance the accounts and the deposits as well as closing the cash, all while ensuring the reception desk is covered during the night. They assume the role of receptionist by welcoming guests so that they enjoy the best hotel experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Classify commercial transactions made during the day,
- Check and correct transaction records and update the hotel guest folio,
- Balancing the accounts and closing the cash register of the different sales points,
- Produce daily journal report,
- Answer calls and forward incoming calls,
- Perform departures and arrivals,
- Manage reservations and group arrivals,
- Collaborate with the security department.
- Answer customer complaints,
- Other administrative and/or accounting tasks.
- Any other related duties that come up in doing the job or assigned by direct supervisor.
Skills and Qualifications
- Great interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills.
- Ability to identify customer needs.
- Auditing, accounting/bookkeeping experience preferred.
- Experience with computerized property management systems
- Excellent computer skills; knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong aptitude for numbers, spreadsheets, and financial reports
