NPI Quality Engineer Job at Cis Secure Computing Inc
Responsibilities:
- Provide quality inputs & assurance of key tasks in the phase/gate process.
- Tolerance stacking analysis of mechanical components
- QA of accept/reject criteria at each gate
- QA of DVT plans and qualification testing
- BOM analysis & verification
- QA of manufacturing readiness
- Quality control plans in production (Incoming, In-process, Final) and implementation
- First Pass Yield in production
- Analysis of early production failures and customer feedback
- Define Quality/reliability specs, and provide Quality inputs in design reviews
- Implement quality-at-source in Engineering design & production. Reduce quality inspections & identify critical to quality attributes. Develop related audits for compliance
- Participate & provide Quality inputs in DFMA/DFMEA/PFMEA analysis, DVT plans, and manufacturing readiness (QC),
- Drive build/ship authorizations as final gate before customer shipments
- Perform all duties in accordance with all company policies including adherence to good safety practices. Training of personnel.
- Perform other essential duties as necessary or directed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Basic Qualifications:
- Must meet the definition of a US person as defined by the US regulations:
- Any individual who is granted U.S. citizenship

- Any individual who is granted status as a "protected person"
- Ability to work independently to produce the highest level of quality and productivity against established standards.
- Self-motivated and multi-task oriented.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to speak, read and write English fluently.
- Ability to work effectively with people on an individual basis and in a team environment.
Education and Experience
- BS degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or 10 years of equivalent industry experience in design and manufacturing quality assurance
- 3- 5 years of experience in New Product Development, with focus on design quality assurance and product transition to production
- 1-2 years of experience in process quality
- Familiarity with process quality and problem-solving tools such as Lean Six Sigma
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, plans, blueprints, schematics and technical data.
- Ability to interpret and write technical procedures and documents.
