Clallam Bay Corrections Center (CBCC)
The Department of Corrections is seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual for the position of Office Assistant 3 Non-Permanent at Clallam Bay Corrections Center.
Clallam Bay Corrections Center is a 900 bed male facility located on the point of the Olympic Peninsula. It is 50 miles west of Port Angeles and looks out over the Strait of Juan de Fuca at Vancouver Island. This facility houses medium and close custody offenders. CBCC also operates an Intensive Management Unit.
Whether the work is inside a prison, in community corrections, or in an administrative office, the Washington State Department of Corrections professional staff experience a high degree of personal satisfaction knowing they are creating environments in which all offenders can learn to make choices that contribute to a safer society.
Provide support to Unit operations and staff, to include but not limited to:
Maintain Unit files.- Prepare and process confidential reports, letters, and memos to include proofreading, copying, scanning, and filing.
- Retrieve, process, and distribute mail.
- Provide data entry assistance.
- Perform various clerical/receptionist duties, to include assisting in other facility areas as needed.
- High School diploma or GED
- Two (2) years of clerical experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft programs: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to write clearly, factually, and concisely.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work.
- Ability to identify, address, and document rule violations.
- Demonstrate positive and professional interpersonal relationship skills.
- Must have strong keyboard/typing skills.
