The Online Shopper/Delivery Driver is responsible for providing courteous service to the customer in addition to quick and accurate checkout of purchases. Treat all customers, teammates and vendors with courtesy and respect. All online shopper/delivery drivers will be trained on self checkouts, as cashier, as a stocker, and in other areas of the store.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• To greet all customers, respond to customer questions/requests and explain store policies in a courteous manner. Smile, greet and thank all customers.

• Help customers make the best possible purchases by providing advice, guidance and excellent customer service.

• Supporting customers with placing orders and making payments via the phone, online, or in person.

• Responding promptly and effectively to customers’ complaints and requests.

• Advising customers on suitable substitutes for dated, discontinued, or unavailable products.

• Reporting customer issues, supply shortages, and inferior products to management immediately.

• Engage with customers and ensuring any special instructions are followed.

• Ensuring that orders are accurately selected, scanned, and packed.

• Assisting with order collection, packaging, loading, and payment, where required.

• Keeping track of product offerings and availability.

• Maintain a professional demeanor during the entire shift.

• Act with a sense of urgency.

• Generally know where products are in the store.

• Be able to substitute in other positions for absent coworkers.

• To perform any other legal and ethical tasks as requested by the supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Must be 18 years or older

• Must have a clean driving record.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends and during busy shopping periods.

• Ability to lift and carry items, to tolerate noise, and to stand, walk and sit for extended periods.

• Ability to climb flights of stairs while carrying items up to 50 lbs.

• Ability to process information/merchandise through computer system and POS register system

• Ability to communicate with teammates and guests must have good interpersonal communication skills

• Ability to give/receive complex verbal instructions/descriptions to/from supervisors/teammates concerning store/department policy/procedures and use of equipment.

• Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation

• Ability to freely access all areas of the store including the selling floor, stock area, and register area

• Ability to move or handle merchandise throughout the store generally weighing 0-50 pounds

• Ability to pass background checks and drug/alcohol screens

• Ability to read and write English. This includes; instructions, merchandise labels, printed paper and forms.

• Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to run the store

• Ability to climb ladders

• Must be reliable, flexible, and honest

• Ability to make judgments concerning, but not limited to, the quality of items, the extent of unsellable product damage, placement of merchandise on the shelves/display, and case opening procedures.

• Ability to multitask
