Building Restoration Services Inc is currently searching for a full-time operations manager. Successful candidates possess excellent leadership and organizational abilities, superior knowledge of industry regulations and operational guidelines, along with excellent customer service skills. Furthermore, the ability to work in a fast paced environment with strong attention to detail is essential.
Responsibilities & Requirements:
Directors of operations are responsible for everything from negotiations, budgeting, purchasing, and production. They’re especially skilled at developing long-term operational strategies, working closely with senior management to meet company objectives. Ideally, these leaders oversee the documentation of all operations to ensure that consistent, efficient workflows are in place, yielding optimal productivity and performance.
Day to day running of operations, including, but not limited to the following:
- Oversee staff to ensure that company policies and procedures are being followed and the company's vision is being carried out
- Oversee project managers in reviewing scopes of damage, before they are sent out to insurance adjusters, for accuracy and potential issues/problems
- Oversee project managers in scheduling crews, preparing budgets, approving accounts payables, receipts, and time sheets
- Oversee project managers by ensuring projects meet the needs of the organization through the use of standards, procedures, accountability, efficient allocation of resources, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee staff for meeting the goals for all divisions
- Strategize process improvements to maintain a proactive, versus a reactive, approach to ensure that everyone completes their tasks on time, within budget, and with the highest level of quality
- Recruit, hire, and train both staff and subcontractors
- Hiring and firing of personnel and continuously evaluating performance and productivity of staff
- Communicate and negotiate with insurance carriers and property owners
- Monitor job sites for safety issues, quality, and training opportunities
- Monitor customer satisfaction
- Hold scheduled sales, production, training, and staff meetings with staff to assist with productivity and growth
- Prepare and modify documents including invoices, proposals, correspondence, reports, drafts, memos and emails
- Use company software to document all projects, including, but not limited to, Proven Jobs (PSA), Xactanalysis, JobTrack, Microsoft Excel, Company Cam and more
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an operations manager
- 5+ years senior leadership role
- Must be computer savvy and proficient in basic computer software with the ability to use and utilize new software
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Minimum of 5+ years in insurance restoration and/or construction
- Minimum of 5+ years of Xactimate estimating experience
- Knowledge of Xactanalysis and Contractor Connection is preferred, but not mandatory
- IICRC certification preferred
- Superior customer service skills
- Knowledge of operating standard office equipment
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and problem solving skills
- A positive disposition
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Driver's license with excellent driving history
