Salvo Technologies is Interested in interviewing enthusiastic and goal-driven individuals to work within a team environment manufacturing precision optical components and assemblies.
2nd & 3rd Shifts Available
- Manufacturing of precision optical lenses, prisms, and other optical components using Optical Fabrication equipment including CNC machinery.
- Knowledge of measuring optical dimensions and angles using various inspection equipment, including autocollimator, micrometer, dial and or digital indicator, caliper, and Zygo interferometer
- Lapping and polishing of various types of glass in various optical configurations with the use of Polishing Compounds and polishing mediums.
- Verifying conformity using interferometry, collimators, and microscopes (Prisms, Lenses, Windows).
- Devises inspection methods to inspect and check components according to customer specifications and requirements or uses established standard methods
- Applying optical blackening to components utilizing various spraying and application methods.
- Maintains quality programs and manufacturing process control plans for early detection of issues and to ensure the highest level of quality and reliability is consistently delivered
- Review backlog and forecast to ensure the necessary capacity is identified and trained to support changes in production demand.
- Read, understand, and follow optical blueprints and ensure product conformity
- Determines allowable variations. Establishes critical values for surface finishes, wavefront error and interference fits at ambient and operating temperatures
- Lapping and polishing of various types of metals and glasses in various optical configurations. Verifying conformity using interferometry, collimators, and microscopes (Prisms, Lenses, Windows).
- Maintains traceability of material by keeping lot items together or serialized with required QA paperwork.
- CNC Programming and Process development
Background
- Preferred, 8+ years of experience within optics manufacturing industry or similar.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
