F.W. Webb, Northeast’s largest wholesale distributor of plumbing, heating, HVAC and industrial supplies is seeking a full-time Outside Sales Representative - PVF for our Cranston, RI location.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the growth and business development of all PVF mechanical customers within assigned geography.
  • Possesses or focused on achieving a working knowledge of traditional piping system components as well as emerging technologies to include thermoplastic alternatives.
  • Develops local strategies to support companywide product and service sales initiatives.
  • Read and extract relevant sales opportunities from project scope and specifications
  • Required to work as part of a team with diverse product knowledge and skills in order to best support customer technical needs.
  • Efficiently manages customer service needs while continuing to meet expectations for territory coverage.
  • Regularly meets with management to suggest inventory and service improvements.
  • Capable of attending training events and/or meetings requiring overnight travel.
  • Genuine interest in professional development focused on supporting customer based with technical product expertise.
  • Participate in joint sales calls with internal product experts and key vendors.
  • Expected to utilize company customer relationship management tools for reporting and scheduling.
  • Key product categories include valve, valve automation, steam, hot water, heat transfer, pumps, specialty piping, thermoplastics and related services.
  • Comfortable navigating discussions with all levels of decision makers at the customer level
  • Consistently identifies, pursues, and leverages contract/preferred supplier agreements

Qualifications:

  • Team player mentality a must
  • Detail oriented and demonstrates a true passion for customer service a must
  • Similar industry sales experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of PVF and Thermoplastic material preferred
  • Experience working with the institutional/industrial/PVF Mechanical industry preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Natural problem solver and genuine interest in solution selling
  • Detailed knowledge of the F. W. Webb system and division capabilities
  • Self-motivator who understands the value of team sales strategies
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Strong ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
