Position Objective
We are looking for a hardworking Packager to join our Operations Team. The Packager will work in the Dryer Building to package products both manually and using robotic equipment for shipment to customers all over the world. Packagers are team-oriented, attentive to detail and show a strong emphasis on workplace safety. Pay increases to $21.89 after 90 days and $25.01 after 6 months of employment.
Job Functions
· Weigh, inspect, label and stack bags of product onto skids.
· Manage size of bags by pressing bags onto skids.
· Operate machinery to monitor and adjust chamber and bagging seal pressure.
· Record information including bagging rates, weight of product, time of packaging appropriately.
· Operate forklift to move product to appropriate areas in the warehouse.
· Ensure safety and environmental compliance.
· Takes product samples and sends samples to laboratory for analysis.
· Maintain and clean equipment as well as daily housekeeping in designated working areas.
· Serve as a member of the Emergency Response Team.
Competency Requirements
· Ability to lift 50 pounds repetitively.
· Attention to detail and team-oriented attitude.
· Must follow technical procedures, communicate records and correspondence.
· Ability to stand, walk, bend, move around regularly.
· Must pass criminal background check and drug screening.
Education and Experience
· High School diploma or equivalent required.
· Forklift operating experience preferred.
