We are seeking a highly motivated Part Time Leasing & Resident Services Specialist to assist in all aspects of leasing and frontline resident services across our growing portfolio in Decatur.

Based in Decatur, Illinois this Fairlawn team member will work on the front line across our Decatur portfolio currently consisting of 2 properties and 381 units. The Part Time Area Leasing & Resident Services Specialist will be accountable for cultivating relationships with prospects and ultimately finding them the best home. The ideal Area Leasing & Resident Services Specialist candidate will fully align with Fairlawn’s core values: Be Kind, Own It, Be Flexible and Always Improve.

Preferred Hours are M, W, F from 8a-5p

Fairlawn Real Estate is a dynamic real estate firm that specializes in acquiring, renovating, developing, and managing real estate projects in Illinois and Indiana. Founded in 2015, Fairlawn now manages approximately 4,900 units with a team of over 100 employees and counting!

What will you do?

• Serve as a leasing specialist to match prospective residents with their perfect home - this means being well versed with our properties and amenities
• Assist Property Manager with the lease renewals process as well as creation and implementation of marketing strategies
• Provide exceptional customer service and support through multiple communication channels (phone, email, text)
• Process maintenance requests, prepare move-in paperwork, perform move-in orientations, maintain resident files
• Learn and comply with all Fair Housing Laws - (We provide training)
• Pivot, roll up your sleeves, and jump in where needed!

Who you are - We’d love to hear from you if you:

• Have at least 1 year of previous customer service experience
• Are proficient with computer applications and software (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite, Appfolio, Outlook)
• Have excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrate superior attention to detail, high energy and positive attitude
• Have a high school diploma or GED

Some additional things you will need:

• Valid driver’s license
• Availability to work longer hours and weekends during prime leasing season and turnover (specific dates vary from year to year)
• Must be able to perform the physical functions of the position resident communications, not limited to: ability to walk properties, complete physical inspections, deliver communications and show properties
