Part Time Overnight Victim Advocate Job at Bolton Refuge House
- Overnights 12am - 8am
Friday, Saturday, Sunday (starts coming in 11:55 Thursday night)
Bolton Refuge House is a service provider for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. Our building in Eau Claire provides emergency shelter for individuals which runs 24/7 with awake staff who are advocates for clients at the shelter at respond to our emergency crisis line.
Responsibilities:
- Advocate for clients at the shelter by providing emotional support and empathetic listening, information referral, and other types of assistance.
- Respond to our crisis line by following Lethality Assessment Protocol (LAP).
- Answer phone calls to the shelter.
- Perform clerical duties at the front desk.
- Cleaning duties around shelter as needed.
Qualifications:
- Dependable and Punctual.
- Able to work a consistent overnight schedule.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A strong desire to help others and provide emotional support.
- Posses basic computer skills and familiar with computer applications including MS Word and Excel.
- A degree in psychology, social work, human services, or equivalent experience is preferred but not required.
