Responsibilities:

• Ensure all internal and external customers receive outstanding customer service and a positive store experience.
• Build positive long-term relationships with customers.
• Welcome customers by greeting them; offering them assistance.
• Advise customers by providing information on products and services.
• Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions.
• Help customer make selections by building customer confidence; offering suggestions and opinions.
• Perform productive consultations by being able to accurately measure and assess the client's wants and needs for their living space.
• Document sale by creating or updating customer profile records.
• Accurately process payments by totaling purchases, returns, and/or exchanges; processing cash or credit cards.
• Demonstrate superior product knowledge, including features and benefits of all current stocking inventory as well as special order product availability.
• Ensure store standards are met and maintained, i.e., visuals, cleanliness, signage, safety, etc.
• Assist the Store Manager in preparing the showroom and store inventory.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in sales and customer service preferred, but not required. Specialty retail preferred, but not required.
• Outgoing and upbeat personality.
• Excellent listening and verbal communication skills.
• Must be a motivated self-starter.
• High energy level.
• Ability to work well with a variety of personality types.
• Neat, clean, professional appearance.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and POS systems.
• Ability to lift moderate amount of weight and stand for extended periods of time.
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task.

Wage ranges between $17-$27/per hour. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience. The range is Base pay + Commission.
