Job Description

Orchard Payroll and Administrative Assistant, for a 65-acre apple orchard, responsible for onboarding seasonal workers. This person would report to the Payroll Specialist and coordinate with the Orchard Manager. The administrator’s duties include Onboarding, maintaining the Global Gap Logs, during harvest maintaining accurate record of and balancing pieces. Entering spray applications in App-Recs. The payroll assistants’ primary duties are to support the Payroll Specialist with tasks leading up to payroll processing as well as the following responsibilities.

Responsibilities would include (not limited to):

Onboarding new hires, in a real-time

  • Completing 1-9, W-4 and other required forms
  • Registering in time-&-attendance program
  • Providing hiring paperwork to new employees.

Managing the work crews in the payroll system

  • Assigning jobs and pay rates as coordinated with Orchard Manager
  • Ensuring that all worked hours have been registered and accounted for in time clock
  • Entering piecework/pieces when it has been performed
  • Balancing piece counts, payroll to Warehouse receiving

Global Gap program Logs

Maintaining AppRecs

Occasionally running errands for Orchard supplies

Passing out payroll checks

Reporting and correcting payroll discrepancies

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
