Robert Half is collaborating with an expanding company in the Healthcare, Hospitals, Social Assistance industry to fill the position of a Payroll Clerk to support the daily functions of the Payroll department. The opportunity will be located in the Boston, Massachusetts region. This is a great opportunity for a self-starter to work with an industry leader on a career path with growth in this challenging position. The position's responsibilities include being able to effectively communicate with the internal team and outside customers. The Payroll Clerk will be required to perform data entry, reconciliation of timecards, paycheck distribution and providing statements to various departments. Your responsibilities in this role

  • Craft and deliver training to employees on the use of proper payroll practices, including timesheet entry and online methods of accessing pay statements
  • File, scan, fax, and perform other clerical duties as required
  • Make sure data entered into spreadsheets and the payroll system is accurate
  • Data entry into spreadsheets and the payroll system
  • Manage communications with employees on timesheet approvals
  • Construct and run custom reports
  • Devise a system of administering and distributing reports
  • Proven ability to quickly learn new systems
  • Excellent data entry skills
  • Previous payroll experience
  • Strong organization skills with a sense of urgency and capable of prioritizing multiple tasks
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Weekly Payroll
  • Command of Ceridian Payroll System
  • Employee Timesheets experience
  • Adeptness in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong familiarity with payroll for over 500 employees
  • Payroll experience
  • Excellent verbal, written, and social skills
  • Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
  • Skilled in Payroll software
