The Pediatric Dental Assistant (Restorative) has established skills in pediatric dentistry and is motivated to continue growing their clinical skill set. The primary goal of this position is a focus on the delivery of high quality pediatric dental care by supporting the pediatric dentists and working with other dental assistants and office staff to make a great environment for both patients and staff. This position also includes an element of training and development of more junior dental assistants and working with the Practice Manager to address patient and staff issues that arise in ordinary course of operations.
Essential Functions:
- Set-up rooms and assist the dentist with various procedures
- Escort patients back to the operatories and get them prepared for treatment
- Monitor patient during nitrous oxide procedures
- Review patient medical histories for potential risks
- Assist the pediatric dentist in completion of prescribed treatments
- Take good, reliable radiographic images when appropriate
- Prepare good clinical notes for dentist review of treatment performed
- Clean and sterilize operatories between patients
- Sterilize instruments and take inventory of restorative materials
- When required, travel with dentist to operating rooms/surgical centers to assist during operating room cases
- Develops professional working relationships with coworkers
- Develops an advanced understanding of Open Dental features
- All other duties as assigned by Management
Titan Dental offers competitive compensation and benefits with additional upside as your skills develop. The starting compensation range for this position is $16 to $25 per hour, depending on experience. EFDA's are also encouraged to apply and compensation for EFDAs is evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
