OVERVIEW: We are seeking a Personal Lines Account Manager or Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join our team. The Account Manager will assist the team with personal lines policies (homeowners, auto, recreational vehicles, watercraft, flood, personal umbrella, etc.) new business processing as well as retention and servicing of existing clients by providing a high standard of service. A successful CSR should be well versed in policy coverage as well as carrier guidelines as they are often times the middleman between the client and the carrier. The CSR is meant to keep the customers informed and satisfied at all times. The CSR position can be seen as that of an image maker as they occupy such an important position that their direct actions or inactions could lead to a loss of potential or existing customers to the Agency.
We are seeking a candidate for a hybrid position (3 days in-office and 2 days remote) with the ability to work in-office daily during the onboarding period for the first month.
Responsibilities
- Handle client communications with accuracy, speed and professionalism
- Great and assistance in a friendly manner
- Maintain customer relationships by providing superior customer service
- Retain all client communications in the client management system
- Manage incoming leads using the client management system and other related programs. Then assigning the lead to an agent and taking quote information when needed to include cross selling other lines of business
- Process new business policies within 24 hours of receipt, which includes, obtaining needed documentation
- Receive requests from clients and carriers; comply with the requests and/or refer to the Producer
- Inform and educate clients about policy coverages, changes, exclusions and their coverage needs
- Assist the Producer with sales
- Prepare and log quotes, sell, bind and process policies for cross sells, rewrites and renewals
- Post policy payments
- Discuss claim situations with insureds by reviewing covered perils and policy deductibles
- Liaise with other departments and provide support
- Manage and protect the reputation of the Agency
- Participate in knowledge/skill development and continuing education to maintain required licensure
- Maintain office appearance and supplies as needed
- Perform other duties as requested
Requirements
- At least 4 year of experience as a personal lines CSR or Producer is preferred
- General understanding of personal lines underwriting and coverage
- Property and Casualty licensed
- Exceptional communication skills – both verbal and non-verbal
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to cope in a fast-paced work environment

- Ability to critically analyze all situations and solve problems efficiently
- Ability to handle and pacify difficult customers

- Fast leaner on all types of software. TAM experience preferred
