Five Paws of Delaware County is a small business based out of Delaware County, PA. Our goal is to provide the very best reliable animal care when owners can't be there!

We offer a variety of services including daily dog walks, vacation visits, overnight visits and cat care. As the company continues to quickly grow, we are looking to add several more animal lovers to our team.

*We are looking right now for help in all of shifts - daytime, evening, overnights and weekends (many schedule options available!)! We ideally are looking for sitters located in the following towns: Aston, Glen Mills, Media, or Newtown Square.

This is an employee position where you will be paid per completed visits. Our regular employees average between $300 and $800 per week (plus tips and gas reimbursement) in compensation but more is possible depending on how much work you'd like to do!

Requirements (please do not apply if you cannot meet each of these):

• SCHEDULING- We are currently looking to add several sitters to our team. We need daytime sitters as well as evening/weekend only sitters. See below for details on each!
• EVENING/WEEKEND Sitter: Must be available at least 4 nights per week from 5-10pm and 3 weekends per month. You would likely NOT be working each night/weekend but you must be open to be scheduled. On weekends, must be open to covering visits throughout the day (with breaks in between).
• OVERNIGHT Sitter: Must be available to stay at a client's home from 9pm through 7am for stretches of up to 4 nights per week. You would NOT be working weekly but as needed (likely 1-2x per month during slow winter months but more during the summer season).
• DAYTIME Sitter: Preference is for someone available during the day between 7am-3pm at minimum but can potentially work with more limited availability (9am-2pm for example). Must be open to helping on some weekends and holidays.
• HOLIDAYS- Must be available to help with some visits on most holidays (we are a pet sitting company - clients depend on us to take care of their pets when they are away)
• Must love and be comfortable and physically able to handle ALL types of pets - large and small! Should have some dog and cat experience as well as be okay with other small animals.
• Should be a people person, be professional, and have excellent written and verbal skills for communicating with our clients and with the office
• Must be enthusiastic and excited about this type of work!
• Be extremely reliable and dedicated - animals depend on us no matter what! It is understood that calling out is a rarity.
• Must be flexible and open to pick up last minute changes/additions to the schedule; most visits are scheduled ahead of time but sometimes we have last minute requests that we need to accommodate
• LOCATION: Must live/work within the service area of Delaware County - preferably near Aston, Media, Springfield, Havertown or Glen Mills
• Must be okay working outdoors in all types of weather (Rain or snow, Fido will still need his walk!)
• Must have a reliable cell phone with texting capabilities and access to a computer with internet; Must have your own vehicle
• Must be reachable (as noted above we get many last minute changes and you will need to be reachable)
• Must be willing to submit to a background check
